It's a tradition every year for my mom and I to make our Christmas Bon Bon's! We usually quadruple the recipe and spend days hand crafting these delectable treats to give away to family & friends.
I know all of our husbands think, including mine, that we spend each and everyday between loads of laundry, changing diapers, being a chauffeur, cooking, cleaning... seriously the list could go on and on... that we sit on our little bottoms and eat Bon Bon's all day long!
LOL!! I only wish;)
Being in the Christmas spirit I thought
I would give away a little box of these yummy Bon Bon's.
So, when your husband does comes home from a long day at work and asks...
What did you do today?
You can say, I sat around and ate Bon Bon's today!
All you need to do is leave me a comment
and I will draw a winner Monday of next week.
Christmas Bon Bon's
4 cups of powdered sugar
1 stick of softened butter
1 can of Eagle brand milk
1 tsp. vanilla
14 oz. of shredded coconut
2 cups chopped fresh pecans
1 package of chocolate chips (Ghirardelli, milk)
1/2 cube paraffin (to keep the chocolate shiny)
Mix all the ingredients except for the chocolate and paraffin, in a large bowl. Refrigerate overnight. Form the mixture into small balls, set on cookie sheets and freeze. Melt chocolate and paraffin in a double broiler. Dip balls into chocolate using wooden kabob sticks, place back on cookie sheets, Refrigerate. Top Bon Bon's with a curl of chocolate, a baby spoon works best. Refrigerate then place in paper decorative cups.
Package & Enjoy!
Thanks for all your sweet comments!
