I have a little lull between creations and I did not want to be a boring blogger soooo, I thought I would share this cute little video that my soon to be 14 year old daughter Claudia made the other night! She made it for her Facebook page and of course to post on YouTube, because you know these two social outlets are the latest and greatest craze. Enjoy!

Welcome Mr. President

I wanted to welcome our new President of the United States of America

Barack Obama

Yesterday was an amazing historical event that I will never forget.

I am very proud to be an American.

On a totally different note. I was tagged yesterday by the amazingly talented Carla
This is a really cute tag too!

It's "Photo" Tagging!

Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.
Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

When I read this I must admit I was just a little nervous! I was having visions of really embarrassing pictures that I know exist in my iphoto!

Well here it is:
My photo might be a little X rated I hope I don't offend anyone!! ROTFL!!

This is one of our kitties
He always sits on the couch this way???

Thanks for the tag Carla that was a lot of fun! Now it's my turn to tag 6 others... Lindsay, Lori, Joke, Curt, Alexandra, & Nancy!

Remember to leave a comment
for your chance to win some yummy blog candy, on the Blogoversary post!
Also one of my good friends Christine at:
Is also giving away some yummy blog candy!!

Thanks guys for playing:)

Good Monday morning! It's a cold and snowy day here is beautiful Colorado. A new challenge is up at BBTB! The challenge is to use the snail cut from the cartridge, Walk in my Garden.
I chose to keep mine simple with a sweet sentiment. My new favorite embellishment that I used on this card is the chipboard heart die cut. It has a little spring to give it that little extra bounce. Too cute!

In other news 2 Sketches 4 You announced their Spring Design Team Call this morning! Detail & a new sketch from me can be found on our blog 2S4Y!
Thanks for all your sweet comments!

Lazy Saturday

Today was a much needed lazy day!
I thought I would share one of my favorite recipes

Pasta with Escarole, White Beans
and Chicken Sausage

By: Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger
Prep Time:10 min, Cook Time:15 min
Level: Easy
Serves: 4 servings (serving size 2 cups)

3/4 pound whole-wheat bowtie (or other shape) pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped, about 1 cup
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 ounces lowfat Italian-style chicken sausage, casings removed, crumbled
(I use hot Italian chicken sausage from Whole Foods)
1 medium head escarole, rinsed, drained and chopped, about 8 cups
 (I use fresh spinach)
1(14-ounce) can low-sodium cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves
Freshly ground black pepper
1 ounce grated Parmesan
(I love cheese so I use way more)

Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package.
Heat the oil over a medium heat in a large, deep saute pan or 8-quart stockpot. Saute the onion until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook an additional 1 minute. Stir in the sausage and cook until heated through and browned, about 4 minutes. Add the escarole and cook until wilted, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add the beans, 1 cup of chicken stock, sage and red pepper flakes and simmer until the mixture is heated through and liquid is slightly reduced. Add the sausage-bean mixture to pasta and toss well, loosening with the additional 1/2 cup chicken stock if necessary. Season with freshly ground pepper and salt, to taste.

Divide among 4 pasta bowls and top with parmesan cheese.
